Minutes
April 12,2004
Call to Order
Vice Chair,Michele Burger called the meeting to order at 10:12 a.m.
Members Present

Clark,Betty Fuller, Michele Burger, Troy Fuller, Jean Whitener, Helen Payton, Helen Lightbody

Suzanne Hendrickson, Recreation Manager
Treasures Report
Treasurer Robert Nail reported a balance of$6,294.88.
Approval of Minutes
The following corrections were made to the minutes from the March meeting:
1. Under New Business item number 4d, it stated that the WWII dedication will be on
May 12, 2004, it should have been May 29,2004.
2. Under New Business item number 4e, it stated that the committee picnic will be on
May 7, 2004, it should have been May 2,2004 at 1:30 p.m.
Troy Fuller made a motion for the minutes to be approved with the corrections, Betty Fuller
seconded the motion, motion approved.
Old Business
1. It was reported that 19 visitors visited the Museum in April.
2. Report from the Acquisition Committee:
a. Dan Clark requested a vote on whether loaned items should be accepted by the
Museum. After a brief discussion, Dan Clark motioned for a vote on this
proposal. Iva Nail seconded the motion. The committee unanimously voted to
accept items on loan but only for specific plans and for specific exhibits.
b. Mr. Clark reported that a lady called to donate a wood-burning stove. The donor
saw the "wish Iist"in the Euless Today brochure. It was also reported that two
more possible donation calls came in and that they will be contacted.
c. Betty Fuller mentioned that John Fitch has a pot belly stove that he is willing to
donate. Mrs. Fuller also mentioned that the stove is disassembled but that the
committee could have it reassembled if the committee accepted this donation.
New Business
1. Dan Clark mentioned that a lady called asking for a picture of the old Western Hills Hotel
and he didn't have one. Mr. Clark suggested that the committee start a photo file so
pictures can be kept of buildings and locations that may be lost in the future. Mr. Clark
volunteered to take pictures of these locations if someone else would do the history.
2. It was suggested that thank you letters be drafted to send to donors. Mr. Byers and the
Mayor could sign the letters. Staff will draft a letter for the committee to review.
3. Suzanne Hendrickson reported that the poster display that was purchased for the Fuller
House has been received. She needs direction on where the display will be installed in
the Fuller House.
4. Dan and Michele Burger will be docents in May.

Michele Burger adjourned the meeting at 11:02 a.m.
