Call to Order
Chair, Billy Byers called the meeting to order at 10:15 a.m.

Approval of Minutes
Michele Burger mentioned that Billy Byers and Ralph Williamson were docents in November
and not December. Helen Payton was present at the November meeting. Betty Fuller motioned
for the minutes to be approved with the corrections. Thomas Stover seconded the motion.
Motion approved.
Old Business
1. Iva Nail reported that there's a bit of difficulty getting up the South side of the Fuller
House due to the lack of railings. She mentioned that she spoke with Ray McDonald
regarding this and Ray will have railings installed.

2. Michele Burger mentioned that the cement blocks along the ground by the South entrance
from the yard needs to be put into the ground more.
3. Regarding the new Well at Heritage Park:
a. Billy Byers reported that the Well has been completed. Committee members
inquired about the cost to build the Well. Mr. Byers mentioned that it cost
$531.76. Helen Payton made a motion that Mr. Byers be reimbursed for the
cost to build the Well. Dan Clark seconded the motion. Motion approved.
b. Mr. Byers also reported that Harvey Little donated the gourd and the bucket
for the Well.
c. Mr. Byers mentioned that bricks from the old Himes House could be picked
up and used for the outside of the Well.

4. Michele Burger has gathered information for the "sucker rod" for the Windmill. Mrs.
Burger spoke with Mark Welch and it will be approximately$3.00 per ft. and
approximately 20 ft. total will be needed. Billy Byers will be given the information
gathered by Michele Burger.
New Business
1. Betty Fuller reported that she spoke with Willie Mae McCormick and invited her to
this month's meeting. She also mentioned that Mrs. McCormick had not been feeling
well and may not be able to attend today's meeting.
2. Regarding the Heritage Park Christmas celebration:
a. Billy Byers mentioned that the Heritage Park Christmas celebration went very
well. Various committee members agreed with Mr. Byers' assessment.
b. Robert Nail and Billy Byers agreed that there were approximately 1,000
people who attended the event.
c. Helen Payton reported that children really enjoyed the Well. She also
mentioned that a sign should be posted on the Well as there were children
leaning over to look inside the Well.
d. Helen Payton also asked for corn to be grinded in the grinder and that the
grinder needs to be monitored while being used by the public.
e. Mrs. Payton mentioned that it was neat to watch everyone shaking their butter
making vials throughout the day.
f. It was mentioned that it was a beautiful day and that the whole event went
very well.
3. Betty Fuller reported that the application for a Historical Marker for the house on South
Main Street has not been submitted yet due to shifting of the staff at the County office.
The application will be submitted as soon as feasible. Suzanne Hendrickson will have a
letter of support from the City of Euless for Mrs. Fuller's application. Mrs. Fuller also
clarified that in order for a Historical Marker to be approved; a building may not be
moved or significantly changed.

4. Mr. Byers reported on the following:
a. Passed out historical photos of different locations for the Committee's
viewing.
b. Mr. Byers also reported that the Tomato Planter, Disc, and other machines
have been delivered to Heritage Park. Committee members were informed
that if additional items were needed that committee members could pick them
up.
c. Helen Payton mentioned that descriptions of each piece of machinery could be
made and placed in front of each piece of machinery. It was mentioned that
formica signs could be used.
d. Mr. Byers mentioned that his neighbor has an old Cream Separator he would
like donated to the Museum. Dan Clark motioned for the committee to accept
this donation. Betty Fuller seconded the motion. Motion approved.
5. Dan Clark mentioned and/or reported on the following:
a. A beautiful picture of the barn on the McCormick property was passed out for
the Committee's viewing.
b. Various other historical pictures were also passed out for the Committee to
see.
c. Pictures of previously discussed locations have been taken and Mr. Clark is
waiting for the historical write-ups for them. Robert Nail mentioned that he
will give Mr. Clark his write-up soon.
d. Dan Clark mentioned several historical articles from various magazines. He
mentioned that it might be a good idea to have such a section in the Euless
Today so that brief articles could be included. Michele Burger mentioned that
Gary McKamie writes such an article for the Euless Today magazine already.
e. An inquiry was made regarding whether black and white photos could be
taken of various historical locations and/or items.
6. Regarding the Airport R&R program:
a. Troy Fuller described what a great experience it was to welcome the troops
home from Iraq. He went on to say many people from Euless participated and
it was a great experience.
b. Mr. Fuller also explained that as the airplane carrying the soldiers taxied to the
gate, two fire trucks stood on each side and as the airplane passed between
them; the fire trucks shot water above the airplane as a way of saluting the
soldiers and welcoming them home.
c. Suzanne Hendrickson also added that the City made goodie bags and went to
the Airport during the week of December 6— 12 to welcome the troops home
for their 2 weeks R&R. She briefly described the emotions felt by everyone
who attended and the soldiers as well.
d. It was mentioned that Joe Hennig may sign up the City for another
opportunity to participate in the R&R program again in 2005.
e. Mr. Byers expressed his great appreciation for being able to participate in the
program and that the soldiers were extremely appreciative as well. Mr. Byers
mentioned that it would be great to do the program again.

7. Suzanne Hendrickson gave a brief report on Kyle Eggers' funeral arrangements. The
service will be at First Baptist in Euless at 1 p.m. and burial will be at the Dallas Fort
Worth National Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. Reception will be at First Baptist Church
following the burial. A trust fund has been set-up at Summit Bank for anyone wanting to
donate. Committee members expressed their deepest regret in this tragic loss.
8. Docents for January will be Chris Jones. Robert Nail will help if possible.
9. Docents for February will be Troy Fuller and Betty Fuller.
10. Mayor Mary Lib Saleh wished everyone a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.
