The following corrections were made to the minutes from the May meeting:

Dr. Rhodes,not his great-granddaughter.
b. Under Treasurers report, it states that a donation was made by the late Mr. Don
Tharp. The donation was in honor of Mr. Don Tharp and not made by him.
Troy Fuller motioned for the minutes to be approved with the corrections. Evelyn Himes
seconded the motion. Motion approved.
Treasurers Report
Treasurer, Robert Nail reported that he received two checks as a memorial to the late Mr. Don
Tharp. One check was for $25 and the other check was for $50. The $25 dollar check has been
deposited into the Committee's account. A check for $7,000 was given to Mr. Marquis for work
on the McCormick barn. This left a final balance of$4,509.14. This balance does not include
the second check of$50 received in memory of Mr. Tharp.
Old Business
1. Troy Fuller reported that 18 people visited the Museum on Saturday. He explained that
everything went well. Paul Martin, a visitor to the Museum on Saturday, was introduced
to the committee. Mr. Martin reported that he had a difficult time fmding out the location
of the Fuller House. He mentioned that he called several phone numbers within the city
and no one knew where Heritage Park was. He also noted that he got in touch with the
"Texas State Travel Guide" and Heritage Park was not listed in it as well.
2. Iva and Robert Nail reported that they gave Willie Mae Tillery Lemons a tour of Heritage
Park on Saturday.
3. Mrs. Fuller brought up for discussion the moving of the McCormick barn to Heritage
Park. Newspaper articles from the Dallas Morning News and Star Telegram were passed
around for the committee's viewing. Robert Nail donated both articles to the Museum.
Various mention of Mrs. McCormick's happy reaction to the success of the move was
mentioned. Betty Fuller proceeded to read a letter from Willie Mae McCormick thanking
the committee, the City of Euless and its citizens for their hard work with regards to the
barn. (see attached) Several committee members thanked "Mary" for calling to notify
them that the barn had been moved. Some committee members stopped by to see the
barn at Heritage Park.
New Business
1. Betty Fuller discussed the following with the committee:
a. Inquired about the progress on`Burger's"name tag.
b. A donation from the late Mr. Willhoite of Grapevine was discussed. It was later
mentioned that a donation of an item might have already been received.
c. Suzanne Hendrickson will provide Mrs. Fuller with copies of recorded artifacts
located inside the Fuller House. While the committee breaks for summer, Mrs.
Fuller would like to make a list of all items not yet recorded in the museum.
d. Reminded the committee to think over topics for the quarterly programs.
e. The next committee meeting will be on September 12.
2. Troy Fuller reported on the following:
a. Mr. Fuller reported on the flag presentation ceremony honoring Kyle Eggers that
was held at the May 31 Council meeting. A City of Euless flag which was flown
in Iraq where Kyle Eggers was stationed was presented back to the City of Euless
by Kyle's parents Keith and Diane Eggers.
b. Mentioned that he spoke with Joe Hennig about the "shortage" with docents and
volunteers for the committee. Mr. Hennig informed Mr. Fuller that he wasn't
aware that the situation existed. Mr. Hennig also mentioned that if the committee
needed anything to let him know and he would have it taken care of.
c. While on vacation in Europe, Mr. Fuller toured several Museums. He mentioned
that one Museum had self guided audio (cassette) tours available where a person
could go through the tour at his or her own pace. Mr. Fuller inquired about the
possibility of doing something like this for Heritage Park.
d. Mr. Fuller offered to conduct one of the quarterly programs that Betty Fuller
mentioned on the incorporation of the City of Euless. Mr. Fuller was on the
Council when this occurred.

volunteer overalls from 1954.

Creek Cemetery Association highly praised the City of Euless and its Mayor for
all their interest and care toward the preservation of history.
c. Attended a meeting of the Birdville Historical Society.

of a booklet written by Mike Patterson, a Civil War veteran's researcher from the
meeting. The booklet contained information on 183 Civil War veterans that lived
in the area.
e. Mr. Cannon reported that he discussed with Gary McKamie a plaque to be placed
on the location of the new fire station on South Main Street. This site is
historically significant as this was where Tom Fuller's post office was located.
Ross Cannon purchased the land in 1931. A write-up for a plaque has been
completed by Mr. Cannon and given to Mr. McKamie. A dedication of the
plaque may occur prior to the next historical meeting. Suzanne Hendrickson will
send reminders to committee members if this should occur.
f. Mr. Cannon expressed deep concerns about the lack of records on locations with
historical significance. For example there are no historical accountings kept on
Fire Stations and Libraries. Mr. Cannon urged the committee to keep this in
mind.
g. Weldon Cannon mentioned that Willie Mae McCormick may be the oldest living
graduate from Mary Harden Baylor University or "Baylor Female College". He
heard mentioned that Mrs. McCormick will be honored in the college's summer
"Alumni News"edition.
5. A discussion was held regarding various projects that should be completed in order to
do a better job at recording historical facts. Iva Nail suggested that the committee
could prioritize different projects and begin working on projects with highest
priorities first. Various Committee members offered encouragement with regards to
all the work the Committee has completed thus far.

"Mary" for the great job they do for the historical committee. Other committee
members expressed their appreciation as well.
