STATUS OF CURRENT PROJECTS
1. Commemorative Mural Display: Sandra Crowley with the Euless Library Foundation

Euless landmarks, people, achievements, etc. to go at the Library. The Foundation
expressed their interest in having two representatives from the Historical Committee work
with them on the project. Together with Kate Lyon, Ms. Crowley provided samples of
tiles, photos of a similar mural to what the Foundation has in mind for Euless, possible
price ranges, length of time for the project, sizes of tiles and mural as well as answered
various pertinent questions from the Committee. The Foundation inquired as to the
Committee's thoughts on the proposal. Committee members were very interested in the
project. Boyce Byers made a motion for the Committee to undertake the project and
include two members from the Historical Committee to work with the Library Foundation
on the project. Dan Clark seconded the motion. There was no opposition to the motion,

of Northeast Tarrant County" book and copies of the 1956-57, Vol. 7, DAR
"Texas Tarrant County Cemeteries Records" research.
b. Since Mr. Byers is the sole trustee of Calloway Cemetery, he agreed to be in
charge of the "Verification Committee". In addition to verifying the collected
data, he will also oversee the updating of recent burials starting from 1981. The
following people volunteered to work on the verification process: Bill Byers,
Iva Nail, Helen Payton, Beth and James Gathings, Weldon Cannon, and Betty
Fuller.
c. It was mentioned that there may be a computer program that can store a master
list of the files once the verification process is completed. Dan Clark will
research such a program and report back to the Committee.
d. Mrs. Fuller mentioned that Mr. Cannon has been working on marking graves

markers. It's possible that David Allen, G.I.S. Manager for the City, could help
with this process. Mr. Byers spoke with him previously about the idea.

available on the City website. The most recent addition is the Mosier Valley accounts by
Reverend Lloyd Austin and Beatrice Green. Key members of the Committee expressed
concerns about the wording of the Mosier Valley introduction page. Tom Stover, Beth and

recent oral history projects. Staff reported that the Tubby Huffman account should be
completed soon.

estimated cost of$1,500 was reported for moving the Windmill. Members were

the Treasurer, Robert Nail, to release the funds to pay for moving the Windmill.
Ralph Williamson seconded the motion. Motion approved.
b. Harvey Little has an old wagon wheel on his property that was recently donated
by Gaylon Jack. A donation form needs to be turned in for the item. Bill Byers
will get with Harvey Little on relocating the wagon wheel to Heritage Park.
