Chairman Mike McGehee called the meeting to order at 7:03 p.m.

DISPOSITION OF THE MINUTES:
The Chairman asked for a motion to be made to accept the December minutes. Barney Snitz made the motion
to accept the minutes, and LuAnn Portugal seconded the motion.
REPORT FROM THE LIBRARY ADMINISTRATOR:
Kate passed around a copy of the Wall Street Journal that featured Trinity High School.
The Library statistics are still very good even though the gate count was down slightly.
Story Time Theatre performed Three Little Pigs and a Fruitcake in the Meeting Room on Saturday, December
9th. On Monday evening, December 11th Concert Bell of Fort Worth performed in the Meeting Room with 60+
enjoying the music.
Nicole Galindo, Librarian Assistant in the Youth Department, is teaching knitting classes on Monday evening
and some on Saturday in the Youth Conference Room.
We will be offering AARP Tax Service again this year. Tax forms are coming in daily and should be out and
available to the public by the middle of January 2007. The tax forms will be out in the Reference Department.
On Monday, February 12th at 7:00 p.m. Ke Anuenue Polynesian Revue will be performing in the Meeting
Room.
Kate handed out the Hennen's American Public Library Ratings 2006 Summary. The Euless Public Library is
ranked 4th in the ratings for Texas cities of its size.
The Library will begin ESL classes soon. We will keep the classes small, 4 at a time for now, and Kelly LaBrie
our Librarian Assistant in Reference will be teaching the classes.
Danene Hudson has received her MLS from TWU and has been promoted to the position of Librarian.

1. Upon motion of Barney Snitz the Library Board officers and Lay Representatives for 2006 were re-
elected by acclamation.

2. Adriane Weinstein announced that she is resigning her position as the Library Board representative to
the Euless Library Foundation.
3. Mike McGehee reports that the Euless Library Foundation will have a fund-raiser at the Library on April
21st• The popular western author, Elmer Kelton will be the guest speaker.
4. Barney Snitz expressed concern that he no longer receives e-mail updates from the city.
CITIZEN INPUT:
Denise Feeley wanted to know if the Library could be involved in some way with the Parks Department Easter
Egg Hunt. Kate responded that she will look into that.
ADJOURNMENT:
-- The Chairman asked for a motion to adjourn. The motion was made by Barney Snitz and seconded by Betty
Fuller. The meeting was adjourned at 7:55 p.m.
