Chairman Mike McGehee called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m.

DISPOSITION OF THE MINUTES:
The Chairman asked for a motion to be made to accept the November minutes. Kacey Bess pointed out that her
name is misspelled. The correct spelling is Kacey not Kasey. Marcia Brown made the motion to accept the
minutes with the noted corrections, and Barney Snitz seconded the motion.
REPORT FROM THE LIBRARY ADMINISTRATOR:
Kate Lyon congratulated Betty Fuller on receiving the Life Time Achievement Award at the Boards and
Commissions Dinner.
Kate Lyon showed the Board the Read poster of the Trinity High School football coach and players. The poster
has been well received and the school has asked the library to print up more posters to share with all the Trinity
feeder schools.
The Library statistics are still very good with over 30,000 items circulated in November.
The Library ordered the Eco-Senior Disc Repair System that was approved in the current budget. This system
is working so well that we will be able to dramatically extend the life of our CD's and DVD's. The system
allows us to check the disc for the level of damage before proceeding with the repair.
The staff has all CD's and DVD's changed into the new locking cases. The process of changing the cases went
quickly and smoothly. The new cases will reduce the loss rate on these popular items.
We have the Masterworks programs scheduled through June. The following will be performing:
Feb 12...Ke Anuenue
Mar 12...Tea Merchants
April 16... Storybook Theatre
May 14... Mexican Folklorico
June 11...Joy Cunningham
Storybook Theatre that will kick off National Library Week on Monday, April 16, and on Saturday evening,
April 21 the Euless Library Foundation will end the week with an evening with Elmer Kelton. Both events will
be in the Library Meeting Room.

Library Board Minutes
Billy and Boyce Byers built a float to represent the Library and the Euless Library Foundation for the Parade of
Lights. It was a great evening and the walkers handed out 1000 candy canes to the kids along the parade route.
The theme for the float was "Reading Rocks."
The Concert Bells of Fort Worth will perform in the Library Meeting Room on Monday evening, December
11th at 7:00 P.M.
DISCUSSIONS
Mike McGehee and Barney Snitz welcomed Kacey Bess to the meeting and congratulated her on the
appointment to the Library Board.

The Chairman asked for a motion to adjourn. The motion was made by LuAnn Portugal and seconded by Betty
Fuller. The meeting was adjourned at 7:36 p.m.
