Parks and Leisure Services Board
December 2, 2019
CALL TO ORDER
The regular meeting of the Parks and Leisure Services Board was called to order at 6:40 p.m. on
Monday, December 2, 2019 in the Park Maintenance Building by Chairman Randy Jones. Other
Board Members present: John Raab, Steve Doty, Magen Brown, Roger Sickler, Kay Seeger, and
Jason Reyes.
Members absent: Isha Sharma
Staff members present: Director of Parks and Community Services Ray McDonald, Parks Manager
Terry Boaz, and Administrative Secretary Myndi Muncy.
Visitors present: None.
INVOCATION
Mr. Jones gave the invocation.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Chairman Jones asked if there were any additions or corrections to the minutes from the
November 4, 2019 regular meeting. Mr. Doty made the motion to approve the minutes as
presented and was seconded by Mr. Raab. The vote was unanimous.

b. Magen Brown —J.A. Carr & Kiddie Carr: No items to report.
c. Kay Seger—Preserve & Mcormick: Minor items reported to Parks Manager.
d. Jason Reyes- VOBC & Reflection: Not present.
e. Randy Jones—S. Euless & Heritage: No items to report.
f. Roger Sickler—Westpark & Wilshire: Not items to report.
g. John Raab— Bob Eden &Trailwood: No items to report.
h. Steve Doty—Parks at Texas Star: No items to report.

II. Business of the Tree Board
Mr. Reyes reported the following for November:
a. Total man hours for November 1-30 = 1166
• 550.00 Horticulture
• 208.00 Forestry
• 34.00 Greenhouse
• 301.00 Special Projects
• 73.00 Training
• Gathered acorns and are in the freeze stage for the Arbor Daze tree giveaway.
• Removed storm damaged trees from Midway Park.
• Removed trees at Parks at Texas Star Complex.
III. Directors Report
Mr. McDonald updated the board about the fence and new restrooms going in at J.A. Carr Park.
IV. Other New Business
No Input.
V. Input from City Council Members and Visitors
No input.
ADJOURNMENT
Chairman Jones gave the benediction. There being no further business to conduct, the meeting
was adjourned at 6:58 p.m.
