Chairman Mike McGehee called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

DISPOSITION OF THE MINUTES:
The Chairman asked for a motion to be made to accept the September minutes. Barney Snitz made the motion to accept the minutes,
and Adriane Weinstein seconded the motion.
REPORT FROM THE LIBRARY ADMINISTRATOR:
Statistics: Gate count: 20,685
Notaries: 53
Volunteers: 10
The aquarium had to be replaced due to a leak that could no longer be repaired. The Mayor and the city administration agreed to the
replacement. The new aquarium is a beautiful addition.
The library and"Blooms of Enlightenment"was featured in the September issue of Panache.
New Fees that were approved by the City Council go in effect on October 3,2005. We have limited the number of DVD's to 5 per
patron.
Bedford Library is now open 40 hours. The City Council will continue to evaluate the situation.
The Friends of the Library Book Sale was very successful. The total for the weekend was$2585.00.
JoAnn reported that$33,000 was deposited to the City General Fund in the year 2004. To date we have deposited over$35,000 for
2005.
JoAnn introduced Carolyn Edge and Nicole Galindo our new full-time employees. Carolyn Edge has worked in Reference for the past
3 years as a part-time employee. Nicole Galindo joined us from Michael Brady Realty and is working on her MLS.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
1. United Way Campaign/Penny Wars
2. Board and Commissions Dinner—November 14 at Texas Star
3. Lloyd's statue/bench
NEW BUSINESS:
1. Pot Luck at the November Board meeting.
2. Meeting will start at 6:30pm and the Pot Luck Dinner will follow

The Chairman asked for a motion to adjourn. The motion was made by Barney Snitz and seconded by Betty Fuller. The meeting was
adjourned at 8:25 p.m.
