Chairman Mike McGehee called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.

DISPOSITION OF THE MINUTES:
The Chairman asked for a motion to be made to accept the January minutes. Marcia Brown made the motion to
accept the minutes, and Barney Snitz seconded the motion.
REPORT FROM THE LIBRARY ADMINISTRATOR:
JoAnn passed out the Statistics Report for the month of November:
Statistics: Library visits: 19,368
Items Checked Out: 36,364
Program Attendance: 590
JoAnn reported that AARP will be offering tax preparation assistance each Monday starting February 7 through
April 11. This service is focused on seniors of low to moderate income,but anyone cause use their assistance.
Appointments are required.
Friends of the Library Spring Book Sale starts Friday,February 25 and goes through the weekend. The last day is
Sunday,February 27t. Volunteers are needed. Contact Karan if interested in helping.
Valentine Jazz group"Mood Indigo"will perform in the Library on February 14 from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
On Friday,March 11 Trinity Arts Guild will have an art exhibit and reception. Local artist will display their work
throughout the Library. David McCullough will do an art demonstration,and refreshments will be served.
On January 31,2005 we had a very successful program,over 120 in attendance,on Dyslexia. Dr.Karen Vickery
from Southern Methodist University spoke at the event.
Beverly McCalmont, our Outreach Librarian,has scheduled several programs on Saturday, beginning in May,on
aging parents.
TLA in April 5th through 8h. The Trustee's Luncheon is on April 6,2005. The Library will pay for the lunch but
let Karan know if you want to attend so we can make reservations.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
1. Twin Bridge is under new ownership. The plan to renovate our space and are very interested in keeping the
Library open.
2. Parks will start work on the drainage in the east beds soon.
NEW BUSINESS:
1. Facilities has scheduled February 2l as the start date to place the the covers and new diffusers in the
ceiling. They will install every evening after the Library closes for approximately 3 weeks.

The Chairman asked for a motion to adjourn. The motion was made by Barney Snitz and seconded by Kate Lyon.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:50 p.m.to go to City Hall for the Town Hall Meeting.
