Beverly McCalmont, our Outreach Librarian, is working with six Indian Girl Scouts from Trinity High School to do
a special project. They will be painting Twin Bridge on Sunday,January 9,2005. Children at Twin Bridge have
been busy helping her get the rooms ready for painting. JoAnn reported that Twin Bridge is under new ownership
and she will be talking with the management soon to see about cleaning or replacing the carpet. We have really
outgrown the space at Twin Bridge and may need to look into other options this year. Also Beverly applied for,and
received,a$2000 grant from the Lois Lensky Covey Foundation for Twin Bridge.
JoAnn reported that traffic was good in December even though this is typically a slower time. JoAnn reported on
the books we purchase from McNaughton. This is a book service we subscribed to that gives us multiple copies of
the popular books and then we can send back copies we choose not to keep. The cost of this service is$12,000 per
year.
Karan reports that the Euless Library Foundations' Parade of Lights Float placed 1 S`in the non-commercial division.
Friends of the Library are having their Spring Book Sale on February 25th,26th, and 27t. If you would like to
volunteer contact Norann Lustfield at 817-354-4434.
TLA: TLA will be in Austin this year. Let JoAnn know if you will be able to attend. The Library will pay for the
