REPORT FROM THE LIBRARY ADMINISTRATOR:
JoAnn introduced our new Librarian I employee, Chris Dennis. JoAnn reported that Kelly Cline will now be
working at the Library and report to Carolyn Hoots in Circulation. Beverly McCalmont our new Librarian I will
now be working at Twin Bridge and the Library. Beverly is working on our Outreach Services and is doing research
and profiles to begin offering services such as books to be delivered with the Meals on Wheels.
Sherry Knight,Tanuni Trull,Chris Dennis, and Carolyn Hoots are working on our Collection Development to make
sure we are managing our inventory.
JoAnn reported that earlier in the year Ralph Williamson stopped by and wanted to know if we have any books that
could be donated to the VA Hospital. He received a letter thanking him for the donation and he was concerned that
the Library was not mentioned. JoAnn spoke with him and told him it was not a problem and that if he will let us
know when he wants to take more books we will help.
JoAnn reported that she worked with Joe Hennig,Lori De La Cruz, and Bill Ridgway on the Pat Summeral award.
They went out to the local business and interviewed the owners on how and why they made the decision to move to
Euless to establish their business. The video will be out in February. There is a two minute video for the cable
channel and a five minute video that the City of Euless will be able to use to promote the city.
The Texas Book Festival Grant is being worked on to get money for materials for Twin Bridge Mini Library. We
are looking for ways to keep the mini library going.
We cleaned up the Romance section and new free standing shelves were purchased by The Friends of the Library.
They are located in Magazines.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
1. Sherry reported on the questions the Board had last month on how the monthly report figures are
determined. The"Hot Stuff'includes the number of Spanish books since it is stored in that area.

that most patrons are interested in the ESL studies.

attended her first meeting this month.
3. Barney Snitz reports he likes the New Book list, but isn't real happy with the placement of the Romance
• Novels in the Magazine area.
4. Barney Snitz suggested we need portable stands that we can use to display art work and pictures of
activities in the Library and city.
