JoAnn Rogers announced that Meredith McMannis has announced her resignation from the
library after eighteen years of service in order to take some college courses and explore new
opportunities. The Library Board of Directors picture board is now on display to the public in the
library.
Friends of the Library is hosting a book sale March 4th and 5th in the Library meeting room.
Entertainment is also scheduled. Teen activities for the month include a sleepover in the Library
and Poetry Slam. A marketing workshop and intermediate internet workshop are also a part of
March activities.
A review of the Lost or Damaged policy was presented to the board explaining that a$5.00
reprocessing fee in addition to the cost of the materials is because of a City of Euless Ordinance.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
Drive up window surveys have been given to the staff and Board, anticipating input that will help
make this new service a success. JoAnn has also again asked the board to visit area libraries and
complete a survey to better serve Euless patrons.
A rough draft of the Euless Library Emergency/Disaster Plan was distributed for the Board to
review.
NEW AND MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS:
None.
CITIZEN INPUT:
Joan Quasnitcka questioned what the Friends of the Library did, and also mentioned that a
practicum at the Euless Library would be a nice possibility.
ADJOURNMENT:
The Chairman asked for a motion to adjourn. The motion was made by Alex Horton and
seconded by Betty Fuller. The meeting was adjourned at 8:12 p.m.
