Miscellaneous
May circulation significantly increased over April circulation. The move from the old
library to the new library is on schedule. The only delay has been the conversion of
the old records, into current MARK records, so that current bar code identification can
be created for all the library inventory.
Library Board members moved to the new facility where we were joined by Willie Mae
McCormick, former Euless City Council member, City of Euless Mayor pro-tern and
long time supporter and patron of the Euless Library. Betty Yarbrough led the group on
a tour of the magnificent, new facility. Mrs. McCormick shared her memories of the
Euless Library beginnings and development. As the tour concluded, Mrs. McCormick
expressed her desire to give a generous donation, to fund meaningful art work, that will
enhance the interior as a continuing memory to her late husband.. They both have
always placed a high value on the Library as a community beacon, drawing the people
to read and learn.
