EULESS LIBRARY BOARD
MINUTES
APRIL 06, 1995
Wesley Scott, Chairperson, called the Euless Library Board to order at
7:00 p.m. in the Euless Public Library.

DISPOSITION OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
The Board approved the minutes of the March 02, 1995 Euless Library
Board meeting as written.
A special note of congratulations was offered to Mr. Mike McGehee for
the fine job with the Library Groundbreaking . Betty Yarbrough was
told by the Mayor how well planned and organized the Groundbreaking
was. Mike appreciated the help, and said that Betty did an excellent job
with the ceremony that started and ended on time. Betty went on to
congratulate and thank all those that were involved and helped with
the ceremony.
REPORT OF LIBRARY DIRECTOR
Betty Yarbrough made the following March circulation report: 312
registrations, 70 interlibrary loan requests, (51 books received), 120
visits to the Genealogy room, 2,694 videocassettes checked out, walk in
traffic 5,031, and in house use of materials 4,529. 15 volunteers
contributed 140.5. circulation increased by 2.7% over the same period
last year. Two hundred forty four children (244) and 28 adults attended
16 Storytime sessions.

7. Sheila attended a TLA workshop on security issues
8. Mary Wilbur and Barbara Thompson attended a workshop on
communications.
NEW AND MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS
The Library's By-Laws were accepted at the most recent Euless City
Council meeting. Betty Yarbrough told the Board that at the Pre-bid
meeting construction costs are going up a bit, and a Contractor will be
chosen by the end of April. Concerns over space in the current Library
were voiced, as well as the need to develop strong relationships with the
Police force, to help with security matters. Wesley Scott announced that
he would be running for a spot on the H.E.B. Schoolboard in the
upcoming elections, as the only Euless resident with a possibility of being
a Schoolboard member we wished him luck in his endeavor
There being no further business, the Chairperson, Wesley Scott,
adjourned the meeting at 8:00a.m..
