MEMBERS PRESENT: STAFF PRESENT: Betty Fuller Betty Yarbrough Mike McGehee Sheila Williams Russell Schoonover Wesley Scott Disposition of Minutes of Previous Meeting: The Board approved the minutes of the February 2, 1995 meeting as corrected. REPORT OF LIBRARY DIRECTOR: Betty Yarbrough made the following February circulation report: 298 registrations, 70 interlibrary loan requests (51 books received), 107 visits to the Genealogy Room, 2300 videocassettes checked out, walk-in traffic 4959, and in-house use of materials 6,099. Eleven volunteers contributed 68.25 hours of service. Circulation decreased 155 from 1994. Four hundred thirty-four children (434) and 112 adults attended 23 storytime sessions. Seven tours (6 from 1st Methodist Preschool and one from St. Vincent's) were hosted for 228 children and 82 adults. MEETINGS ATTENDED: 1. Arbor Daze Committee 2. Let's Talk About Books 3. Meredith McMannis-HEB ISD In-service Workshop 7. All staff- Ameritech automation demostration UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Mike McGehee reported that plans for the Saturday. April 1. 10:00 A.M. Library Groundbreaking Ceremony were almost complete, Russell Schoonover volunteered to obtain cookies. He will ask the Euless Kroger and Winn Dixie stores if they wish to donate or underwrite part of the cost of cookies from their bakeries. Betty Yarbrough reported that Mayor Saleh is naming a committee to raise donations/funds for aesthetic additions to the library. Betty ordered bookmarks to be distributed to those attending the groundbreaking ceremony. The Pastor of the Sheppard Drive Baptist Church will give the Groundbreaking Invocation.
