Members Present Staff Present Betty Fuller Sheila Williams Kerry McGeath Betty Yarbrough Russell Schoonover Rick Herold Wesley Scott Joyce Yamamoto DISPOSITION OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING The Board approved the minutes of the November 3, 1994 Euless Library Board meeting, as written. The Board did not meet in December. REPORT OF THE LIBRARIAN Mrs. Yarbrough reported the December 1994 circulation information. See the attached documents for exact figures. Mrs. Yarbrough also presented the Board members with a copy of the 1994 Annual report. The report is very detailed about the library's operations. For example the Euless Library was open 2,420 hours last year, and 20,780 Euless residents have library cards. Mrs. Yarbrough reported attending the following meetings in December: I. Let's Talk About Books 2. Arbor Daze Committee 3. Two Library Building Committee meetings with a tour of Harris HEB Hospital. 4. Daze of Christmas and the Parade of Lights. 5. PLANT. 6. Employee Christmas Luncheon. 7. Sue Mon-ow was selected as Employee of the Year from All Euless employees for 1995! 8. Target donated a Christmas Tree to the Euless Public Library. NEW LIBRARY The Board reviewed the two floor plans and the site plan for the new library currently being reviewed by the Euless Library Building Committee. The Board discussed the plans and gave some of their ideas to the Librarian. The Library Board continued planning the ground breaking ceremony. Several ideas regarding the program were discussed. April 1, 1995, is the best date for the ceremony. The guest list was discussed. s- JAN 3 r� T City of Euless Euless Library Board Minutespage 2 January 5, 1995 ELECTIONS The Vice Chairperson,Betty Fuller, discussed the election procedure and the Board's officers. After some questions and discussion by the Board the following officers were elected unanimously. Chairman Wesley Scott Vice Chair Betty Fuller Secretary Kerry McGeath FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY REPORT Bette Yarbrough said that Elaine Turner's mother had been in the hospital and that Elaine was taking care of her mother.
