Alice Ernest, Chairperson, called the Euless Library Board to order at 7:00 p. m. in the Euless
Public Library.

DISPOSITION OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
The Board approved the minutes of the October 6, 1994 Euless Library Board meeting, subject to
the following two corrections. In the Report of the Librarian, item#5 under attended meetings
should he; 5. Inlex automation system demo with Sheila at Lewisville. Also, the last sentence of
the Friends of the Library Report should read; Ms. Wheeler invited the members of the Library
Board to their "Volunteer Appreciation Picnic", Saturday, October, 22, 194_
REPORT OF THE LIBRARIAN
Mrs. Yarbrough reported the October 1994 circulation information. See the attached documents
for exact figures. Mrs. Yarbrough also reported that the Library has a CD-Rom product on loan.
Mrs. Yarbrough would like to budget moneys for this type of resource for Euless citizens.
Mrs. Yarbrough reported attending the following meetings in October:
1. Let's Talk About Books
2. PLANT
3. Three Library Building Committee meetings
4. Friends of the Library meeting
5. Workshop on planning for disasters

Miscellaneous
1. Outreach Program this month consisted of four Halloween Puppet Shows, and two storytimes.
The special programs totaled six events with 227 children and 85 adults in attendance.
2.. Sheila Williams attended an automation seminar in Houston,TX.
3. Meredith McMannis hosted TLA Program committee.
4. 5 staff members attended TLA District 7 in Denton,TX.
5. Target Stores donated a Christmas Tree to the Library.
6. The TLA Legislative Day is 2/14/95 -2/16/95. The deadline for hotel reservations is 1/15195.
NEW LIBRARY
The Board reviewed the current Floor Plan and the Site Plan for the new library. The Board
discussed the Plans and gave some of their ideas to the Librarian. The Library Board began
planning the ground breaking ceremony. Several ideas regarding the program were discussed.
Chairman Alice Ernest recommended that a committee be formed to carry on with the process and
to bring back their recommendations, to the next Library Board meeting. Mr. Mike McGehee was
appointed chairman of the Ground Breaking Committee, with Patricia Beaver, and Charles Cade
agreeing to be members of the committee.
FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY REPORT
Mrs. Yarbrough said that the Friends of the Euless Library had an election, and Elaine Turner was
re-elected as president.
There being no thither business, Chairperson, Alice Ernest adjourned the meeting at 7:38 p. m.
