Mrs. Yarbrough stated that the Architect Letters are to be mailed tomorrow. The new library is quickly becoming a reality. NEW BUSINESS The Library staffmembers are now wearing identification badges. The badge quickly identifies the staffmember as an employee, someone who can be trusted, and someone who can answer questions for a citizen. Also it avoids the possibility of a situation where someone could misrepresent themselves as an employee of the Library. The badges have been popular with the employees as well because they have stopped receiving the famous opening line "Do you work here?". Next month, Wesley Scott will bring a video tape on preparing for disasters in public libraries. The hope is to be better prepare and inform Board members about the necessary steps to be taken if a disaster strikes our library. FRIENDS OF THE EULESS LIBRARY REPORT Elaine Turner, President of the Friends of the Euless Library, reported about their activities. They have sales of 51,100.00 so far this year. They are looking forward to Arbor Daze, historically a big day for them. Elaine discussed the hours and some of the Book Cottage's operations. She encouraged the Board members to come by and to tell others about the best kept secret in Euless!
