EULESS LIBRARY BOARD
FEBRUARY 3, 1994
Alice Ernest, Chairman, called the Euless Library Board to order at 7:00 PM
in the Euless Public Library.

DEPOSITION OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
The Board approved the minutes of the January 6, 1994 Euless Library Board
meeting as written subject to the following corrections: On page 2, should
read "Elaine modestly accepted the thanks. . ." and on page 3, "that
Governor Ann Richards has been invited to Arbor Day in Euless, Texas."
REPORT OF LIBRARIAN
Mrs. Yarbrough reported the January 1994 circulation information. See the
attached documents for exact figures.
Mrs. Yarbrough reported the following meetings she attended in January:
1. Consultant site visit with Council
2. Reception at DPL
3. Met with City's computer services consultant
4. PLANT meeting--Farmers Branch
5. 2 Arbor Daze meetings
6. NTLS with Alice Ernest, Betty Fuller, Sheila Williams
Miscellaneous
1. PHONE TREE--activated mid-January
2. Nominees for NTRLS Board of Directors
3. Meredith McMannis--Grapevine Jr. High meeting with librarians
Spelling Bees and Battle of the Books
4. Sheila Williams and Sally Cook--meeting about Internet at Brookhaven C.C.
5. Sally met with area Reference Librarians
6. Meredith --TLA meeting
7. Meredith and Carolyn Hoots--workshop in Public Relations
8. Sheila--DOVIA (volunteer managers)
Mrs. Yarbrough also explained the change from the North Texas Library System
to a non-profit,stand alone structure. Euless will have the opportunity to
to be part of this new North Texas Regional Library System.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
The revised by-laws of the Euless Library Board will be presented to the
Euless City Council in the very near future.
At the City Council retreat, the new library was discussed. It was reported
that the new library will be a free-standing building on the west side of
the City complex. A list of architects is being compiled.

CITIZEN INPUT
Mr. Edward Denari, attending as an interested and concerned citizen, reported
that he had sent a three page memorandum to the Euless City Council
concerning his input on the new library.
There being no further business, Chairman Alice Ernest adjourned the
meeting at 8:10 PM.
