DISPOSITION OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
The Board approved the minutes of the June 3,1993 Euless Library
Board meeting as written.
REPORT OF LIBRARIAN
Mrs. Yarbrough reported the June and July 1993 circulation
information. See the attached documents for exact figures. In
summary, circulation was up 3 percent in June and down 3 percent
in July compared to last year's results. The 20,189 total circulation
figure (for June) marked the first time in four years that the total
circulation has passed the 20,000 level. This is truly incredible when
you consider that the Euless Library maintains only 60,000 books
due to the lack of space!
Mrs. Yarbrough reported the following meetings or activities:
1. Let's Talk About Books!
2. The Mayor and new Councilman Miller toured the Library.
3. Staff attended a Zig Zigler promotion.
4. Mrs. Yarbourgh visited Irving, Allen, & McKinney Libraries with
Herold & Alice Ernest.
5. Puppet Show with Rowlph's Birthday and Clowns.
6. TLA Annual Assembly in Austin, TX.
7. Madness Summer Reading Programs at Midway Recreation Center.
8. Summer Reading Program registered 852 people!

DISCUSSION OF THE NEW LIBRARY
Mrs. Yarbourgh reported that Lee Brawner visited Euless, Texas
again. Mr. Brawner spent most of the time gathering information so
that he can prepare a report to the City Council on September 3,
1993.
The Board continued discussions about other Libraries. Alice Ernest
shared ideas and discussion from the visits to the Irving Library,
Allen Library, and the McKinney Library.
DISCUSSION OF BY-LAWS
Alice Ernest requested the Board's comments on a draft of the new
By-Laws. The Board continued the revision of the By-Laws. The
Euless City Council must approve the By-Laws, so every effort is
being made to eliminate all errors.
There being no further discussion, Chairman Alice Ernest adjourned
the meeting at 7:50 p. m.
