DISCUSSION OF THE NEW LIBRARY
Mrs. Yarbourgh reported that Lee Brawner had his first site visit and
the visit went well. Mr. Brawner spent most of the time gathering
information so that he can prepare a preliminary assessment.
Wes Scott shared ideas and discussion from the visits to the
Grapevine Library, Lewisville Library, and the Workshop in the
Allen Library. Alice Ernest discussed ideas from her visit earlier that
day to the Irving Library. It was agreed that the building had to
have flexibility to meet changing requirements.
DISCUSSION OF BY-LAWS
Alice Ernest requested the Board's comments on a draft of the new
By-Laws. The Board discussed the Freedom to Read Article as well
as other Articles with the idea of further revision. Alice Ernest
advised the Board that the revision of the By-Laws was voluntary
and that no action was required at this meeting.
JULY MEETING
After general discussion, Betty Fuller made a motion that the Euless
Library Board not meet in July 1993. Linda Gamer seconded the
motion. The motion passed unanimously. The next meeting of the
Euless Library Board will be August 5, 1993.
There being no further discussion, Chairman Alice Ernest adjourned
the meeting at 7:50 p. m.
