EULESS PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES
September 3, 1992
The meeting was called to order by Secretary Betty Fuller at 7:12 P.M.
MEMBERS PRESENT:
Betty Fuller Charlie Garrison Willie Mae McCormick Joyce Yamamoto
STAFF PRESENT:
Betty Yarbrough Sheila Williams
LIBRARIAN'S REPORT:
Betty Yarbrough reported the following statistics for Augusta
Total circulation-16,107 New Registrations-280 (64 juvenile-216 adult)
Visits to the Genealogy Room-70;videocassettes checked out 2453;walk-in traffic 4342;
In-house use of materials-41 14
Ten volunteers contributed 69.5 hours of service.
Three hundred twenty-one children and 36 adults attended 16 storytime sessions conducted by
Meredith McMannis.
Special programs included: *Tom McDermott,Storyteller-22 children and 14 adults
*Junior Volunteer Pizza Party-7 children and 1 adult
*SUMMER READING PROGRAM

298 certificates - (35 adults)
MEETINGS ATTENDED:
Collection Development Committee-NILS
MISCELLANEOUS:
*Circulation Librarian's Meeting-McKinney-Essie Daugherty and Sue Morrow
*Personnel Management Workshop-Sheila Williams
*County-wide Library Issues Meeting
*Reconsideration of book-The Board voted not to withdraw the book from circulation.
The Library Board and Staff reviewed the Goals and Objectives for the Library's Long Range Plan.
A motion was made by Charlie Garrison and seconded by Willie Mae McCormick to approve the
Goals and Objectives and forward them to the City Council for review and consideration. The
motion passed. The document will be submitted to the Council at its next meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 8:00 P.M.
