The meeting was called to order by Alice Ernest at 7:10 P.M.

LIBRARIAN'S REPORT: Betty Yarbrough reported the following statistics for March &April.
MARCH
Total Circulation: 15,489---New Registrations: 315 (71 juvenile & 244 adult-a 25,9%
increase from 1991 )
APRIL:
Total circulation: 13,210----New registrations 231 ; 193 adult and 38 juvenile.The library
closed during Arbor Daze festivities.
Statistics included 83 visits to the Genealogy Room; 1925 videocassettes checked out;
Walk-in traffls-4004; and in-house use of materials-3511.
Twenty-nine volunteers contributed 351.5 hours of service
Three hundred twenty-eight children and 35 adults attended 15 storytime sessions conducted by
Meredith McMannis.
Special programs included: *A Night of a Thousand Stars--attended by 39 adults and 15 children
* Eight Euless Jr. High Book Talk sessions
* Visits to 104 classes at Wilshire, North Euless, & Bear Creek

REPORTS:
Betty Yarbrough distributed and discussed the March 30-April 4 Library Survey results.
The Library Staff and Board Members discussed the completed Library Rules wurIcsireets(an
integral part of the library Long Range Plan). The Mission Statement worksheet was distributed
to board members prior to discussion at the June meeting.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:45 P.M.
