EULESS PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES
February 6, 1992
The meeting was called to order by Alice Ernest at 7:00 P.M.
MEMBERS PRESENT:

STAFF PRESENT:

VISITORS PRESENT:
Elaine Turner- President, Friends of the Library
LIBRARIAN'S REPORT:
Betty Yarbrough reported the following statistics for the month of January:
Total circulation: 15,954, a 30% increase over 1991
Of 410 new registrations, 317 were adult and 93 were juvenile
Statistics included 119 visits to the Genealogy Room; 2112 videocassettes checked out;walk-in
traffic-4,821 and in-house use of materials-4,901.
Twenty-three volunteers contributed 264 1/2 hours of service.
Two hundred children and 33 adults attended 16 storytime sessions conducted by Meredith
McMannis. Meredith also had the honor of judging the South Euless Elementary Spelling Bee.

Meredith McMannis received a 10 year service pin at the City Council Metting
Library received a 2nd prize on booth decorations and 6th prize for their chili at the Euless City
Employee Chili Cook Off
Three staff members will attend the Americans With Disabilities Act meeting
Friends of the Library purchased a hard disk drive computer which was donated to the library
All staff members attended the Sexual Harassment Seminar sponsored by the city of Euless
fd' Rick Harrel's letter to the City Council commending Library Personnel for their service was
distributed
The meeting was adjourned at 7:35 P.M.
