EULESS PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES

The meeting was called to order by Alice Ernest at 7:00 P.M.

LIBRARIAN'S REPORT:
Betty Yarbrough reported the following statistics for the month of December:
Total circulation- 11 ,121 , a 17.4% increase over the previous year.
Of 236 new registrations, 188 were adult and 48 were juvenile.
Statistics included 78 visits to the Genealogy Room; 1645 videocassettes checked out; walk-in
traffic-3,836 and in-house use of materials-21 16.
Seventeen volunteers contributed 268 hours and 15 minutes of service.
Eighty children and 13 adults attended 8 storytime sessions and 139 children and 31 adults
attended 4 puppet shows hosted by Meredith McMannis.

MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS:
Elaine Turner reported that the Friends of the Library had generated $4,813.62 through book
}-�` ales at the Book Cottage. Mrs. Turner attended the meeting to also report that the library was
purchasing a hard disk drive computer with the $ 1500. Friends of the Library donation.
The Long Range Planning Process Workshop will be attended by Betty Yarbrough,Alice Ernest, &
Betty Fuller.
The Library Staff sponsored a "Christmas Providers" family
Meredith McMannis met with HEB school librarians
Sheila Williams& Sally Cook attended a Local History workshop
