EULESS PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES
November 7, 1991
The meeting was called to order by Alice Ernest at 7:05 P.M.
MEMBERS PRESENT :

STAFF PRESENT:

Betty Yarbrough distributed and reported circulation statistics for the months of August and
September. August statistics included the following: 144 visits to the genealogy room; 20
volunteers contributed 358 hours of service; 428 children and 43 adults attended 22 storytime
sessions; 811 children were enrolled in the Summer Reading Club--Participants clocked 1 1 ,003
hours reading--one reader clocked 208 hours.
September statistics: 100 visits to the genealogy room; walk-in traffic-5,275; 15 volunteers
contributed 248 hours of service; 386 children and 38 adults attended 18 storytime sessions; 6
first grade classes from Midway Park toured the library .
OCTOBER STATISTICS:
Total circulation: 13,914 an increase of 2.5% over circulation for 1990; 295 registrations--
- 237 aduffand58 juvenile;80 registrations; 115 visits to the genealogy room;walk-in
traffic-eft 3 14 volunteers contributed 241 hours of service; 352 children and 44 adults

attended storytime sessions; Merdith McMannis hosted 3 puppet shows attended by 121
h children and 50 adults; 10 children and 3 adults were conducted on a tour of the library.

Sheila Williams was elected the secretary of District for 92/93. Betty Yarbrough reported on
\4e n the Board Member appointments: Carol Noonan Johnson. City of Euless staff member Rick eroh
attended the meeting to view ,with members , a video produced by the North Richland Hills Library
highlighting modern library services. The video will be used in conjunction with an effort to
make patrons aware of library services and more specifically the need of expanded facilities. Alice
Ernest and Betty Fuller will serve with staff members on a committee to develop a Long Range Plan
to achieve this goal.
