REGULAR METING
EULESS PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES
December 6, 1990
CALL TO ORDER
The regular meeting of the Euless Public Library Board of Trustees was called to order by Vice
Chairman Willie Mae McCormick at 7:00 P.M.

The minutes from the previous meeting were approved.
LIBRARIAN'S REPORT:
OCTOBER
Betty Yarbrough reported that the total October circulation was 13,580, up 17% from the
previous year. New registrations totaled 325; 255 adult and 70 juvenile. Of these 35 were out-
of-city. Sixty-three inter-library loan requests were processed and 99 books were received.
There were 72 visits to the Genealogy Room.
Video cassette check-outs totaled 1804. Walk-in traffic totaled 4321. Ten volunteers
contributed 71.5 hours of service.
Two hundred twenty-two children and 27 adults attended 14 storytime sessions conducted
by Meredith McMannis. During the month of October two children's library tours were conducted.
A total of 25 children and 9 adults, representing St. Vincent's Pre-school and one group of Cub
Scouts were included. Four Halloween puppet shows were presented. A total of 225 students and
30 adults attended the 2 in-house and 2 Oakwood Terrace puppet shows.

Board members beginning their terms of office January 1 are : Bill Kirkley, Alice Ernest,
Christopher Kubin and Willie Mae McCormick. Sheila Wiolliams became the new Library
Assistant Director, November 15. Meredith McMannis served as M.C. of the Quiz Bowl.
NOVEMBER
November's circulation totaled 11,791 , up 8.9% from 1989. There were 254 new
registrations; 209 adult and 45 juvenile. There were 37 out-of-city registrations, 66 inter-
library loan requests, 57 visits to the genealogy room, 1 ,556 videocassettes checked out, and 17
volunteers contributed 174 hours of service.
One hundred eighty-one children and 23 adults attended 13 storytime sessions.
