EULESS PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES
November 2, 1989
CALL TO ORDER
The regular meeting of the Euless Public Library Board of
Trustees was called to order by Vice Chairman, Dan Hollis,
Jr. in the absence of the Chairman at 7 : 05 p.m. .

There were no minutes from the last meeting.
LIBRARIAN' S REPORT
Discussion ensued pertaining to the effect the reduction of
Library hours had on Library use . The Board seemed to be of
the opinion that any time hours and personnel are reduced,
there will be a lowering of service to the public.
There was quite a lengthy discussion on literacy. Betty
Yarbrough explained the Adult Learning Center. Because of
lack of space and resources she felt like the Library
couldn't get more involved with Adult learning at this time.
Dan Hollis, Jr. felt like we as a board should become more
involved in literacy. He said that he would talk to Linda
Sullivan, head of GED to see if there were something the
Board could do to become more involved with the literacy
problem.
