REPORTS AND MEETINGS JANUARY PLANT - Grand Prairie TRLA - Grand Prairie Library discussion of Reciprocal borrowing Adult Education Co-Operative meeting Sesquicentennial Committee Friends of the Library FEBRUARY PLANT Denton Oral History Workshop Academic Decathalon Sesquicentennial Ceremony City Council Volunteer worked 29 hours in February and 49 hours in January Circulation volume had trended down for the past 4 months Meredith participated in little Ladies Valentine Tea Party at the Recreation Department. Hurst Library has voted to charge a fee to Euless residents and other non-Hurst residents. Betty explained how the charges were set in Ft. Worth. Judy Brown indicated that Hurst may not charge Mid-Cities residents. The need for charges came about as a result of the county (Tarrant) stopping funding. A part of the funding requirement was that all residents of the county have access to the Libraries. Euless Public Library Board Of Trustees - Regular Meeting March 7, 1985 Page -3- We had a discussion on literary freedom and the procedure if one feels that a book is improper. The City Council passed the not-for-profit resolution. ADJOURNMENT: The meeting adjourned at 8:10 P.M.
