In response to a request by the Board Mr. Foreman presented a letter
to be sent to City Council requesting that the Genealogy Room of the Library be
named in honor of Evelyn "Sis" Fuller Perkins as an expression of gratitude and
in recognition of the public service rendered by Mrs. Perkins to the City of
Euless and especially service to the Library. After discussion, Mr. Foreman
made a motion that the letter as written be forwarded to the City Council for
consideration. The motion was seconded by Rod Ashford and approved unanimously
by the Board.
Sue Eichelberger reported that she had sent all correspondence
requested by the Board.
COMMUNICATIONS
The Chairman circulated Library Board minutes from Hurst and
Bedford, as well as recent Mid-Cities Daily News articles on the City of Euless
mentioning the Library, and an article on the Library puppet shows.
NEW BUSINESS
The Librarian reported that Polaroid Corporation had provided
the Library with two new Polaroid cameras. She also advised the Board that
flyers announcing library services had been given to the local Welcome Wagon,
and she circulated copies of the new flyers that had been printed for distribution
to new library card applicants and placed in several other locations around the
city for distribution to new residents.
The Friends of the Library purchased a microwave oven for the staff
workroom. The staff is delighted and the Board is very appreciative of that

Council requesting that the Board recommend one of its members to serve
