CALL TO ORDER
The regular meeting of the Euless Public Library
3oard was called to order at 7 :40 P.F.. by the Chairman
Dottie Ragley. Members attending:

We welcome our' new member, Sirs. Terry 7:1ieneke to
the Library Roard.

February minutes were annroved. Parch 2nd minutes,
a naragranh was deleted, ":Irs. Armstron g. wanted a list
of volunteers for the (:,enealo7v Room, in order that she
can elan an orientation class. "
LIBRAPJAH' S REPORT
The circulation record shows a decrease of -8 .1 .
There were 8 Story Hours with attendance of 133 . Phone
calls on over dues were 199 . Interlibrary loan recuests
were 38 and material received in resnonse were 33 .
The new (;enealogy Room will be dedicated on Sunday
Par 21 , 1978 , at 3 :00 r.m.
NOTH TEXAS LIERA77 SYSTEM
Pottie Ragley went to a meeting on the 4th of Pay.
Exnected funds of S4, 751 will remain about 'the same .There
will be several workehons in the coning months. The first
will be on Intellectual Freedom on the 25th of Pay, on
August the 9th there will be a Trustee workshon at the
Fort worth Public Library, given by Alice Erich, 'ihite
House Library Chairrerson. On Sentember 15th, Rene Deitch ,
Animator, -he has been transforming books to film, also
works with childrens film nrograming. Interlibrary film
usage un-renuest about 85-to 90 films a day. North Texas
Library System budgeted S55 , 500 for the film nr'ogram.
FRIENDS OF THE LIFRAH7
The Rook Sale was a great success. They made $210 .00
this -rear.

SOCIAL CONCERNS
Darbara Zieschand has asked not to he reacoointed
7:Tith Social Concerns.
Policy for the C-enealo7y room. Nov Dlood made a
motion to susnend the 40 day that is recuire for the
2nd reading of the Policy under the By-laws as stated
in Article 7 . Norma 7.'orelock seconded the motion. All
members were in favor. Sis Perkins sudsested that the
wordind, of the last cart of the Introduction be cnanded.
Roy Rlood made a motion that the second reading of
PolicY will stand as is, Norma Norelock seconded., all
riembers were in favor.
Policy statement - to adont "The Freedom to Read"
and Library Dill of Rihts" to be included in the Policy
of the Dv-laws . Norma Norelock made a motion that the two
bodies will be included in the Ry-laws. Sis Perkins
seconded the motion. All were in favor. It has been
anrroved bY the LibrarY hoard.
THTT'T RUSINESS
The Chairman asked to have someone be annonted to
be 7istorian . Sis Perkins made a motion that our new
member Terry 'dienee be made Historian. Nov P1002 seconded.
All were in favor . Roy Blood made the motion, that the
Chairman, Vice-Chairman and Secretary stay the same . It
was seconded. by Terry m7ieneke . All were in favor.
ADJOUTTENT
No further business , the Chairman adjourned the meetins
at 8 : 50
