CALL TO ORDER
The regular meeting of the Euless Library Board was
called to order at 7: 35 P.M. by Dotty Ragley, Chairman.
Members attending:
Roy Blood.
Bill McCray
Norma Morelock
Inez Morrison
Sis Perkins
Dotty Ragley
Also attending: Geneva Armstrong, Librarian and Mayor
Pro Tem Willie Mae McCormick,Mrs . Zieschang
We had one guest attending, Mrs. Bonnie O' Brien.
MINUTES
No corrections forthcoming, the minutes were declared
approved as written, by the Chairman.
LIBRARIAN'S REPORT rs . Armstrong
The circulation record shows an increase of +1.3% up from
this time last yerr. There were 2 tours with the total of 73
people, also there were 4 Story Hour with 180 little people
attending. Reserved books checked out were 62. There were
55 requests for Interlibrary Loans. Material sent in response
were 56-books 40,Zerox copies 13, and Microfilm 3.
Hugh Waite donated /25.00 as a gift to the Friends for
Library Material.
Mrs . Armstrong asked that the Board look over the By-Laws
and make what changes they would like to see.
Then Mrs. Armstrong brought up about a new form for "Request
for Reconsideration of Library Material" . It was suggested that
they put another item on the form, which would be, "if there
were any more comments use the back side" . Bill McCraysuggested
that the Library Complaints be date stamed. It was moved by
Roy Blood and second by Norma Morelock that we use the Requests
for Reconsideration of Library Material. It was passed by the
Board. It was memtion also to have a member of the Board to
meet with the City Council at one of their work session to
hear objections of the Request forms.
GENEALOGY ROOM Bill McCray
It will be called the "Genealogy Room". The new bookcases
came in on the 1st of December.
HISTORIAN Inez Morrison
Have more material, but as yet not in book.

SOCIAL CONCERNS Barbara Zieschang
Collections and Distribution. They are getting geared up
for the Holidays. Mr. Brown, a member of the N.E. Lions Club,
and the Mid-Cities Newspaper are associated with the Helping
Hands Project.
NEW BUSINESS
Mrs. Zieschang and Mrs. Armstrong met with Duane Gage,
of the N.E.T.C.J.0 Heritage Room, to discuss what type of
Policy should be used for the Genealogy Room. The Policy
Form that Mr. Gage had, were passed out to members of the
Board , for them to use as a guideline . Next meeting the
members will come up with ideas and changes .
The Chair asked for a motion to revert back to By-Law
number 13 on page 7. Bill McCray made a motion that it stays
as originally written. Seconded by Inez Morrison. All
members were in favor.
This item will be voted on again next month.
