Parks and Leisure Services Board
February 3, 2020
CALL TO ORDER
The regular meeting of the Parks and Leisure Services Board was called to order at 7:00 p.m. on
Monday, February 3, 2020 in the Council Chambers of the Euless City Hall building by Chairman
Randy Jones. Other Board Members present: Roger Sickler, Steve Doty, Jason Reyes, Magen
Brown and Kay Seger. Members absent: John Raab and Isha Sharma.
Staff members present: Director of Parks and Community Services Ray McDonald, Parks Manager
Terry Boaz, Program Coordinator Alex Harvey and Administrative Secretary Myndi Muncy. Parks
Maintenance Field Techs Chandler Oster, Carson Merchant, Julian Carrillo, Jeremiah Reynolds and
Mike Luschen.
Visitors present: Sylvia Reyes, Lupe Reyes and Irma Reyes.
INVOCATION
Roger Sickler gave the invocation.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Chairman Randy Jones asked if there were any additions or corrections to the minutes from the
January 6, 2020 regular meeting. Mr. Doty made the motion to approve the minutes as presented
and was seconded by Mr. Reyes. The vote was unanimous.
I. Board Member Reports
a. Roger Sickler — Blessing Branch & Midway: Midway water fountains need to be
cleaned.
b. Kay Seger—Bob Eden &Trailwood: Loose plank by backstop #7.
c. Steve Doty—VOBC & Reflection: No items to report.
d. Isha Sharma —J.A. Carr & Kiddie Carr: No items to report.
e. Jason Reyes— Preserve & Mcormick: No items to report.
f. John Rabb— Parks at Texas Star: There is a light cover blown up.
g. Randy Jones—S. Euless & Heritage: No items to report.
h. Magen Brown —Westpark & Wilshire: No items to report.

III. Business of the Tree Board
Tree Board Chairman Jason Reyes reported the following for January:
a. Total man hours for January 1-31 = 954
• 498.00 Horticulture
• 203.00 Forestry
• 32.00 Greenhouse
• 160.00 Special Projects
• 61.00 Training
Over 800 Christmas trees were chipped, mulch was given away at Christmas
tree recycle event.
Trees have been removed and trimmed at Parks at Texas Star.
➢ Acorns at Pauline St. Greenhouse were completed and now are growing.
IV. Directors Report— Ray McDonald
• Project updates on Heritage Park and the dugout.
• Water fountain repairs.
• Derrick Fennell's 15 year pin.
Chairman Randy Jones thanked the staff for their report.
V. Other New Business
No new business.
VI. Input from City Council Members and Visitors
Mr. Hogg complemented the improvements made to J.A. Carr Park.
ADJOURNMENT
Chairman Jones gave the benediction. There being no further business to conduct, the meeting
was adjourned at 7:20 p.m.
