questions came up for discussion and vote . They are
as
follows :
1 . To change the narn of Fort Worth major Resource
S -item to uorth Central_ Texas Library System.Vote :
Unanimous "yes" .
2. `"should the Fort worth major Resource System form,
as a unit , with t',e Northeast Texas library System?
Vote : Unanimous "no" .
MAJCR RESOURCE SYSTFP - Barbara Zieschang
Pepresentative from City of Fort Worth attended the
r'ort ` orth library Hoard meeting in January(Morris Matson
:ssint:ant City Manager for Finance) and assured the Board
that the city wanted to be able to continue important- grant ,
r: a the indirect Cost Allocation Provisions could he
negotiated with the Texas State Library for FY 1978. There
has been no direct response to the Advisory Councils letter
from any offical of i ort worth.
Proposed Pules and Regulations for Texas State Library
Systems stat;es"indirect costs(allocated overhead ) may not
exceed of total grants" .
Fi rst three on nri_or_ i ty list were Oral Uistory, r'oo'k;
by Fail and Audio Cassette Program. The librarian Advisory
Committees will re considering these Programs in relation
to present Programs . Their renorts and recommendations
will be presented with the staff plans and budgets at the
ravel l'eeti_ng of the system on March 2a .
Cr. Bebrary 9th a meeting is scheduled between the Fort
'Forth Major.. -Resource `'vstem and the Dallas System(Fortheast
Texas library System) . Advisory Councils , Directors of the
two evstems and System members will discuss common problems
and solutions at the Inr of Six Flags at 12 : 30 p.m. in the
Americana Room . The advisability of a merger, coordination
of workshops publicity and media Programs or a contract
basis will he discussed .
Desire for change of name of Fort A)rth Major Resource
System is being investigated . Lembers are rewuested to exnre.ss
their views and offer name suggestions .

There have been three adult showings on V.D. at the
Euless Tibrary in the Fuller Poem. On the ?,rd of February there
was a showing on V.P. for the Junior -fish School boys . There
will also he one for. the Junior Figh School girls on the 8th
of February.

Mr. McCrary and Mr. Wilcox are still working on getting
the electrians and a-etting the ceiling raised . 'fter this is
done , it will be -'•eadv for paint , carpet , bookshelves , ect .

There will he a Rook Sale at the Northeast Mall on
the 1st and 2nd of:April from 10 :00 a .m. till 9:00 p.m. on
Friday and Saturday it will 10:00 a.m. till 8:00 P.M .
