FORT WORTH MAJOR RESOURCE SYSTEM

February 28. A report on the year's project to date and developments
in the project will be on the agenda.
TARRANT COUNTY LIBRARY STUDY COMMITTEE
As stated in the Librarian's report, a letter of
support from the TRLA was sent to Commissioners court. Rumor has it that
the request was honored in full by the Commissioners, but we haven't seen the
Budget yet. Frank Tetrault of Southlake after two years effort has
established the Southlake Public Library separate from the Carroll School
System. He has the use of an old Post Office for 4 months starting March I
to prove public interest in a municipal Library. We are requesting aid
in collecting books for a basic collection for Southlake.
BI-CENTENN$AL COMMISSION - Carl Hankins
EULESS PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD - Feb. 6, 1975 - Page 2
The Bi-Centennial of Texas has funded the
proposed genealogy collection for the Library at $1200.00.
Publicity for the Medallion Contest has been released. Awards of
a $25 Savings Bond and a $50 Savings Bond have been posted. Possible
funding of the Sundial through HUD is being investigated with the help of
COG.
FRIENDS OF THE EULESS LIBRARY - Dottie Ragley
Mrs. Sis Perkins has agreed to take on the re-
organization of the FRIENDS. She is working hard to contact former
members of the organization and plans an organization meeting soon.
The FRIENDS would like to participate in Open House by having a table
set up in the Library. Participation of the EULESS FRIENDS with other
local FRIENDS groups in a book sale during National Library Week is
being looked into.
WELCOME TO OUR CITY MANAGER
The Board expressed pleasure at the presence of
Mr. Sustaire. He assured the Board of the City's good will and interest
in the Library including fair funding practice and reasonable consideration
of requests. The Charter Revision Committee may be delayed unless there
is a run-off election because of the techicality about timing. A citizen
body may be appointed soon concerning improving the physical aspects of
the image of Euless. A Clean City is the idea. Mr. Sustaire asked for
the cooperation of the Board in these future plans, and was assured that
the City would have the support and cooperation of the Board in this matter.
CAREER WORKSHOP FOR WOMEN
