Regular Meeting - November 8, 1973
CALL TO ORDER
The regular meeting of the Euless Library Board was called to order in
the Fuller Room of the Library by Mr. Hugh Waite, Chairman, at 7:40 P.M.
Members present were as follows: Messrs Hugh Waite, George Barrowsliff, Carl
Hankins,and MMsdms Barbara Ziesehang, Bonnie Mathews, and Janette Kjell..
Also present was Mrs. Armstrong, Librarian.
MINUTES
The Minutes of the last meeting, October 12, 1973 were approved as read.
LIBRARIAN'S REPORT
1. The Circulation Report for October 1973 -September 30, 1974 was
briefly discussed. A copy of this report is attached.
2. A notice of the annual scholarship award given by the Texas Library
Association was received and will be posted in the Library.
3. Children's Book Week will be November 12 to November 18th, 1973.
4. A movie of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir will be shown at the following
times: November 19th 1:00-9:00 P.M.
November 20th 1:00-6:00 P.M.
November 21st 10:00-6:00 P.M.
The movie will be shown in the Fuller Room of the Library.
5. Special bookmarks and decorations will be available during Book Week.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
The Questionnaire "About your Library" was further discussed. MR. Waite
and Mrs. Ziesshang will form a special committee to draw up an information
letter and questionnaire to go out with the Mayor's newsletter. This is to
be presented to the Library Board at the next meeting.
ADJOURNMENT
As there was no new business to discuss, the motion to adjourn the meeting
was made by Mr. Barrowsliff and seconded by Mrs. Kjell. The motion carried and
the meeting was adjourned by Chairman Waite.
