Euless Library Board
April 24, 1970
CALL TO ORDER
The regular meeting of the Euless
Library Board was called order at 7:00 P. M. in Euless Public Library,
with Vice Chairman George Scott presiding. Members present are listed,
as follows: Mesdms. George Goss and Ruby Harris; Messrs. George Scott
and W. W. McCormick. Absent: Mrs. Wallace Zieschang and Chairman Wayne
O'Daniel .
Also present was Mrs. Geneva Armstrong,
Librarian.

AMENDMENT TO
MINUTES DATED MARCH 20, 1970
Item 1 , Paragraph 4, Page 1 , Minatls of
Regular Meeting of Euless Library Board dated March 20, 1970, was amended to
read, as follows:
"Mrs. Armstrong reported that Haltom City Library recently
received eight hundred (800) easy reader books for adults,
from the State Library. These books were obtained on a
permanent loan basis and will be available on inter-library
loan."

LIBRARIAN 'S REPORT
Title 1 Grant
Mrs. Armstrong reported that Euless Public
Library has received a Federal Title 1 Grant , in the amount of $3,480.00.
Circulation Report
Mrs. Armstrong presented a written report
on circulation figures for Euless Public Library and advised that the total
circulation for the month of March, 1970, a total of 6,294, indicates an
increase of 3.6% over the month of February, 1970.

DISCUSSION OF OVER-DUE BOOKS
AND FORGIVENESS WEEK
In reply to Mr. McCormick' s inquiry con-
cerning the response to "Forgiveness Week", Mrs. Armstrong advised that it was
somewhat disappointing; however, the return of several expensive books, which
were very late, was rewarding.

Mr. McCormick inquired about a letter con-
cerning over-due books, which was discussed in a previous meeting.
Mrs. Armstrong replied that, due to the
busy schedule of Librarians, she had been unable to obtain a copy of the letter.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:30 P.M.
