March 20, 1969
CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Wayne O 'Daniel called the
regular meeting of the Euless Library Board to order at 7:00 P. M. in the
Fuller Room of Euless Public library, with the following members present:
Mrs. Ruby Harris, Messrs. George Scott, Bob Soule and O 'Daniel . (Absent:
Mr. Warren Fuller) .
Mrs. Geneva Armstrong, Librarian, was
also present.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Minutes of the regular meeting of the
Library Board dated February 20, 1969, were approved as written.

CIRCULATION REPORT,
MRS, GENEVA ARMSTRONG
Mrs. Geneva Armstrong, Librarian,
reported a total of 5,529 as the circulation figure for the month of
February, 1969. Mrs. Armstrong advised that this figure represents a
5% increase over the same period in the year 1968.
II .
TITLE I GRANT
Mrs, Armstrong reported that a
Texas State Library Title I Grant, in the amount of $4,000.00, has been
received by Euless Public Library. Mrs. Armstrong advised that all of
these monies must be expended prior to June 30, 1970.
III .
DISCUSSION CONCERNING
NOTICE OF FUTURE BOARD MEETINGS
Members of the Board discussed
methods for notifying the membership of forthcoming Bpard Meetings.

Chairman O 'Dar:iei requested that Mrs.
Armstrong take care of this matter; however, Mrs. Armstrong refused,
stating that she is of the opinion this duty should be handled by the
Chairman.
IV.
SECOND AND FINAL READING OF
AMENDMENTS TO LIBRARY BOARD BY-LAWS
Mrs. Harris made the motion to approve
second reedin;3 of amendments to Library Board By-Lass, as proposed on
February ":0., 1969, and to amend the by-laws accordingly. Mr. Scott seconded
the motion, and the vote is as follows:
Ayes : Mrs. Harris, Messrs. Soule, O 'Daniel and Scott
Nays : None
Chairman O 'Daniel declared the motion carried.
V.
USE OF BOOK FINES AND
PAYMENT FOR LOST BOOKS
Mrs. Harris made a motion that Mr.
Scott be instructed to submit the Librarian's report concerning receipts
from book fines and payment for lost books to City Manager Griggs and
express the Library Board's recommendation that these monies be expended
for replacement of lost books rather than its being deposited to the
General Fund. Chairman O 'Daniel seconded the motion, and the vote is
as follows :
Ayes : Mrs. Harris, Messrs. Scott, O 'Daniel and Soule
Nays : None
Chairman O 'Daniel declared the motion carried.

ADJOURNMENT
The meeting adjourned at 8:00 P. M.
