CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION
MINUTES
Wednesday, September 16, 1998
A meeting of the City of Euless Civil Service Commission was called to order on
Wednesday, September 16, 1998 at 5:15 p.m.
Commission Members Present
Carla Shields, Commissioner
Willie Mae McCormick, Commissioner
Robert Lumpkins, Commissioner
Mel Shuler, Alternate
Staff Members Present
Tom Cox,Director Support Services
Gary McKamie, Police Chief
Don Wilson, Deputy Fire Chief
Ruth Alley, Personnel Manager
Alice Cahill, Civil Service Secretary
Invocation was given by Mrs. McCormick
Mrs. McCormick moved to nominate Carla Shields for Civil Service Commission
Chairman. Robert Lumpkins seconded the motion.
AYES: Shields, McCormick, Lumpkins
NOES: None
Mrs. McCormick approved the Minutes of September 10, 1997. (Note: Mrs. McCormick
is the only current commission member who was present at the September 10th meeting.)
Tom Cox explained the role of the Commissioners for Review of the updated Civil
Service Rules & Regulations Draft. Gary McKamie recommended holding an orientation
for the new commissioners at the next meeting.

There being no further business, Carla Shields made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
Robert Lumpkins seconded the motion.
AYES: Shields, McCormick, Lumpkins
NOES: None
The meeting was adjourned 5:50 p.m.
