CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION
November 16, 1995
MINUTES
A meeting of the City of Euless Civil Service Commission was called to order on Thursday,
November 16, 1995 at 4:02 p.m. by Chairman, Marland Ernest.

Staff Members Present
Tom Hart, City Manager
Joe Hennig, Assistant City Manager
Lee Koontz, Fire Chief
Don Wilson, Assistant Fire Chief
Ruth Alley, Personnel Manager
Alice Cahill, Civil Service Secretary
Paul Wieneskie, Assistant City Attorney
Invocation was given by Marland Ernest.
Mr. Ernest asked if there were any corrections to the Minutes of November 9, 1995. Mrs. Hicks
made a motion to approve the Minutes of November 9, 1995. Mrs. McCormick seconded the
motion.
AYES: Ernest, McCormick, Hicks
NOES: None
Motion carried, and the Minute of November 9, 1995 were approved as read.
Mr. Ernest brought to the table the hearing of a grievance by Scott Stamps. Mr. Stamps presented
his statement of grievance. Mr. Ernest asked the Commission if there were any questions they
wished to ask Mr. Stamps. There were no questions at this time.
Mr. Hart then gave his statement, followed by a statement from Fire Chief, Lee Koontz.
Mr. Ernest asked again if there were any questions. There being none, at 4:42 p.m. the
Commission recessed to Executive Session pursuant to Section 551.074, Texas Government
Code - "To Discuss Personnel Matters".

The Commission adjourned executive session and reconvened in open meeting at 5:05 p.m.
Marland Ernest stated in summary the issues for discussion in consideration of the grievance
matter.
Mrs. McCormick then made a motion to deny Mr. Scott Stamps' grievance appeal. Mrs. Hicks
seconded the motion.
AYES:Ernest, McCormick, Hicks
NOES: None
Motion carried, and the grievance by Scott Stamps was denied.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 5:10 p.m.
