CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION
October 6, 1994
MINUTES
A meeting of the City of Euless Civil Service Commission was called to order
on Thursday, October 6, 1994 at 2:30 p.m. by Chairperson, Willie Mae
McCormick.

The invocation was given by Reverend Dan Williams.
Mrs. McCormick asked if there were any corrections to be made to the minutes
of September 30, 1994. No corrections were made and Mrs. McCormick declared
the Minutes of September 30, 1994 approved as read.
Mrs. McCormick moved to reconsider action taken by the Commission on September
30th on the appeal by Cesario Rodriguez. Dan Williams seconded the motion.
Ayes: McCormick, Williams, Hicks
Noes: None
Motion carried.
Mrs. McCormick brought to the table the Consideration of Request for Hearing
of Disciplinary Termination Appeal by Cesario Rodriguez. Paul Wieneskie
recessed the Commission into Executive Session to consider the request
pursuant to Section 551.074 "Personnel Matters" and Section 551.071
"Contemplative Litigation" of the Texas Government Code.

Mr. Jim Lane, Attorney for Cesario Rodriguez, then requested that any action
taken on the part of the Commission concerning the appeal hearing be conducted
in Open Session. Mr. Wieneskie granted the request for open hearing pursuant
to the Texas Open Meeting Act; and requested that the Commission recess into
Executive Session pursuant to Section 551.071, "Contemplative Litigation",
Texas Government Code, also allowable under the Texas Open Meeting Act. The
Commission recessed into Executive Session at 2:37 p.m.
The Civil Service Commission then adjourned executive session at 2:54 p.m. and
reconvened in open meeting.
City Manager, Tbm Hart requested a ten minute adjournment of the meeting at
2:55 p.m. After twenty minutes, Paul Wieneskie requested additional time.
At 3:25 p.m the meeting reconvened. At this time Mr. Lane advised the
Commission that Cesario Rodriguez wished to withdraw his appeal.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 3:29 p.m.
