Euless Civil Service Commission
July 20, 1977
1 . CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Bill Wray at 3:00 p.m. , in the
Conference Room, 201 N. Ector Dr. Members present were Bill Wagner and Doc
Hyde. Also present were Lt. Hamm and Personnel Officer, Ruth Alley.
2. INVOCATION
The invocation was given by Chairman Bill Wray.
3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Mr. Wagner moved to approve the minutes of the meeting of March 29, 1977, as
written.
The motion was seconded by Mr. Wray, and the vote was unanimous.
4. DISCUSSION OF EMPLOYEE GRIEVANCE
The meeting was held to review an appeal from Sgt. P. D. Bunker, on a one (1 )
day suspension without pay, from duty as Police Officer. The Commission re-
viewed the report of arrest from Sgt. P. D. Bunker and the letter from City
Manager Sustaire referring the appeal to the Commission. After discussion the
Commission interviewed Lt. Hamm, Sgt. Bunker 's supervisor.
Mr. Wagner moved that no formal hearing of the matter was warranted and directed
that the disciplinary action be stricken from the employees personnel file and
the eight hours compensatory time be added back to the time accured by Sgt. Bunker.
Mr. Wray seconded the motion and the vote was as follows :
Ayes : Messers : Wagner, Hyde and Wray
Nays : None
Chairman Wray declared the motion carried.
5. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting adjourned at 5:00 p.m.
