A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TARRANT COUNTY,
TEXAS ESTABLISHING A TARGET AREA FOR COMMUNITY
REVITALIZATION AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the area (the "Target Area") described on Exhibit "A" attached to this
Resolution is located within the corporate limits of the City of Euless, Texas; and
WHEREAS, the Target Area has been underutilized during the past several
years and the City has identified the Target Area as critical to the continued
transformation and development of the surrounding area; and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless has made substantial investments in the
surrounding area and support for projects within the Target Area would be of benefit to
the City; and
WHEREAS, in order to provide an incentive for community transformation and
help create long-term investment in the Target Area, the City of Euless wishes to
evidence its intent to encourage and facilitate quality development within the Target
Area for the benefit of the City as a whole;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EULESS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
The governing body of the City of Euless hereby approves the designation of the
Target Area as a Community Revitalization Area.
SECTION 2.
The departments of the City of Euless are hereby instructed to provide
assistance to worthy projects within the Target Area which require municipal support in
order to qualify for non-municipal financing and other economic incentives to
development within a Community Revitalization Area.
SECTION 3.
The departments of the City of Euless are hereby instructed to provide support to
worthy projects within the Target Area including consideration of incentives as
authorized under Chapter 380 of the Texas Local Government Code.
SECTION 4.
This Resolution shall constitute a Community Revitalization Plan for the purposes
the Texas Administrative Code, or any other state law or rule.
SECTION 5.
That this Resolution shall become effective immediately from and after its
passage, as the law and charter in such cases provide.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Euless City Council on
the 14th day of February 2012, by a vote of 7 ayes, o nays, and o
abstentions.
