A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS,
TEXAS, SUPPORTING A PROPOSED SENIOR LIVING COMMUNITY
TO BE CONSTRUCTED IN THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS, AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Evergreen Euless Senior Community, L.P. has proposed a new
development of age restricted affordable senior housing located at the approximate
southwest quadrant of Dickey Drive and E. Euless Blvd (TX Hwy 10), Euless, Tarrant
County, TX 76039. The proposed community is to be named "Evergreen at Euless
Senior Living Community"; and
WHEREAS, in order to help provide funds and secure necessary financing
approvals, Evergreen Euless Senior Community, L.P. intends to submit a joint
application to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) for
2012 Housing Tax Credits, HOME "Persons with Disabilities Set-aside", and HOME
Investment Partnership Program funds for Evergreen at Euless Senior Living
Community which requires permission from the Euless City Council; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to §50.9(b)(5), Texas Administrative Code, we
acknowledge that the City of Euless has more than twice the state average of units per
capita supported by Housing Tax Credits;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EULESS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
The City of Euless hereby supports the proposed Evergreen at Euless Senior
Living Community and has voted to support the construction of Evergreen at Euless
Senior Living Community and to authorize an allocation of Housing Tax Credits for
Evergreen at Euless.
SECTION 2.
That the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas understands that this
Resolution, related to potential financing, is not a statement of support for rezoning the
site, or for other development approvals that may be required. Such decisions will be
made in due course.
SECTION 3.
That this Resolution shall become effective immediately from and after its
passage, as the law and charter in such cases provide.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Euless City Council on
the 28th day of February 2012, by a vote of 5 ayes, o nays, and o
abstentions.
