Board of Aldermen
September 7, 1953
The Board of Aldermen of the Vi 11age of
Euless met in regular session September. 7, 1953, at 8:00 p.m. Mayor Umphress
and Aldermen Fuller, Millican, and Anderson were present.
Minutes of the last meeting on July 6th
were read and approved unanimously.
Mr. H. M. Huffman met with the Board as
a representative of the local School Board for the purpose of discussing
possible ways and means of protecting school children to and from school
while crossing Highway 183. The Board voted unanimously to authorize Mayor
Umphress to contact the State Highway Department in an effort to get a
blinker signal installed at the crossing and two appropriate 'SCHOOL" signs
for posting on either side of the crossing during school traffic hours.
The meeting adjourned at 9:00 p.m.
