Euless City Council
February 11, 1958
The City Council met in regular session
on February 11, 1958.
Present were Mayor Ernest Millican, Jr.,
presiding and Councilmen J. S. Anderson, S. H. Cadenhead, and W. 0. Murray.
Guests of the Council were Mr. C. E.
Hall of the Cedar Hill Estates Addition, Mr. G. R. Purdy, and Rev. Glenn
Hilburn wo opened the meeting with prayer.
Also on official business were City
Attorney Wm. Bondurant, Police Chief W. M. Sustaire, and Fire Marshal Moore.
The first order of business was the reading
and approving of minutes of all past meetings. Some general discussion followed.
A motion was offered by Councilman Cadenhead,
seconded by Councilman Murray, that the City Secretary have sepias and negatives
relating to house numbering blue - printed. The motion was adopted.
A motion by Councilman Cadenhead, seconded
by Councilman Anderson, proposed that stop signs be installed at the intersections
of North Main and entering Midway Park Addition, South Main at Hollywood and
Sunset Drive in Cedar Hill Estates Addition. The motion was adopted.

A motion by Councilman Anderson, seconded
by Councilman Cadenhead, moved that the election judge and clerks be paid on
par with County officers doing similar work. The motion was adopted.
A motion by Councilman Cadenhead, seconded
by Councilman Anderson, moved that Resolution No. 13A, calling for a City
election April 1, 1958, be adopted. The motion was adopted.
Councilman Cadenhead offered a motion,
seconded by Councilman Anderson, that a letter read to the Council by
Councilman Cadenhead, concerning traffic problems in the City of Euless on
Highway 183, be sent to Mr. R. A. Bossy, State Highway Engineer at Fort Worth
and a copy be sent to the Highway Department at Austin, Texas. The motion
was adopted.
A motion by Councilman Anderson, seconded
by Councilman Murray, moved that Attorney Bondurant be instructed to prepare
plumbing and electrical ordinance for adoption by the City. The motion was
adopted.

A final motion by Councilman Cadenhead, i
seconded by Councilman Murray, proposed that the Mayor and Police Chief go to
Denton, investigate purchase of police radio station and installation while
the City can take advantage of a special offer and the assistance of the Civil
Defense. The motion was adopted.
